5 Things to Try

I’ve seen some great lists today. Some have inspired me, some have intrigued me and some have got me thinking. So here’s my list of five things that I would like to someday accomplish, a sort of writer’s bucket list if you will.

1. Transform one of my works into a script.
Be it a movie or the pilot of a series, I think it would be fun (and perhaps it would pay off as well) to take a project I’ve done that really spoke to me, either short story or novel, and transform it for the screen.

2. Write YA

I would like to delve into the universe of YA and touch the younger readers, perhaps I’ll gain myself some younger fans as well.

3. Collaborate on a Project

I have never worked with another author or an illustrator and the idea of doing so is exciting and terrifying… definitely something I would love to try someday.

4. Create a Super Villian

Now, I am not entirely sure where the aforementioned person would exist – novel, short story or even a graphic novel… but I’d love to center a project around someone twisted.

5. Write a Mystery
Something that leaves the reader on the edge of their seat and unable to put it down until they’ve solved the puzzle… this may just be the hardest one.

I don’t know when I’ll accomplish all of this, or even if. This isn’t written in any order of preference, either. Just the five things that (at this moment) I want to do most.

What are YOUR five things?
